Jorge Ferreira
Head of Direct Financing to SMEs and midcaps
Jorge Ferreira has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Zaragoza and more than 20 years’ experience in digital and data transformations.
For 15 years he has been part of the Technology, Digital and AI teams of leading consulting firms, including McKinsey & Company and Boston Consulting Group, leading transformations of financial institutions towards technology-driven models, with a focus on the application of technology and AI to the optimisation of customer management, marketing and financial product operations.
He holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business awarded in 2013 and he taught classes on data and artificial intelligence at IE and ISBIF from 2015 to 2022.
In February 2024 he started his career at ICO as an Information Systems technician, focusing on the integration of additional data sources, such as INFORMA, and on the promotion of initiatives to improve data quality, as head of the Data Governance project.
As Head of Direct Financing to SMEs and midcaps, he is responsible for designing and proposing business policy in the area of direct financing operations for these companies, as well as integrating technology and digitalisation as growth enablers.
The departments of Origination and Territorial Expansion, Risk Assessment of SMEs and Midcaps, and the department of Standardisation and Operations for SMEs and Midcaps report to the SME and Midcaps Direct Financing Division.
