María Isabel Badía Gamarra

Director of the Cabinet of the Secretary of State for Housing and Urban Agenda. Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda.

Graduate in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid. In 2007, she was appointed as a career civil servant in both the Senior Corps of Cadastral Management and the Technical Corps of Cadastral Management, both of which are part of the Ministry of Finance, having passed both competitive examinations in the same year.

After joining the Regional Cadastre Office of the Canary Islands in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, she has held various positions in the Ministry of Housing, as Head of the Legal Department and Technical Advisor. She was also appointed Head of Integrated Management of the sea-land public domain in the General Directorate for the Coast and the Sea in the Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs.

Since 2011, she has held several positions in the Ministry of Public Works/Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda as Deputy Assistant Director of the General Sub-Directorate of Housing Policy and Aid; Advisory Member of the General Directorate of Architecture, Housing and Land, Head of the Technical Cabinet of the General Secretariat of Housing, as well as of the General Secretariat of Urban Agenda and Housing, and Cabinet Director of the Secretary of State for Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda.

Since November 2023, she has been Director of Cabinet of the Secretary of State for Housing and Urban Agenda of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda.
