Silvia Díez
Head of International Financing
Silvia Díez Barroso has a degree in Economics and Business Science from the San Pablo C.E.U University (Madrid) and a Master's degree in Financial Markets from the C.E.U. Advanced Studies Institute.
She joined Instituto de Crédito Oficial in 1994, taking on various roles and responsibilities in different posts under the Chief Investment Officer: Head of the Institutional Financing Area, Head of the International and Structured Financing Area, and Head of the International Financing Department.
As the Head of International Financing, she is responsible for designing, proposing and launching ICO's direct international credit activity, supporting Spanish companies abroad through direct financing and the issuing of international guarantees, reinforcing ICO's international presence and managing its activity as a State Financial Agency; specifically, assuming the management and administration of State Funds (FIEM, FONPRODE, Water and Sanitation Cooperation Fund) and CARI. This function also includes advising the Government of Spain on company financing operations for projects abroad.
The International Financing Division is responsible for the International Financing and EU Affairs Department, the Operation Restructuring Area, the State Internationalisation Fund Management Area, and the State Internationalisation Fund Administration Area.
